We will be upgrading the underlying Operating System for all servers on Saturday, October 10th starting at 9:00 PM ET until 2:00 AM ET. The upgrade process will require your server to be rebooted twice. Your services will be unavailable at some point during this maintenance window, which should not last more than 10 minutes for each reboot performed. If you have any question or concerns, please let us know.

We are currently working on a hardware issue related to the Lotus Domino servers internet10, internet11, and internet12. Once we know more information on the problem, we will update this post. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to let us know. Thanks…

Update: Internet10, Internet11, and Internet12 have been brought back online. The hardware issue has now been resolved.

On June 24th, all remaining eapps.com domains will be discontinued. Although we have been using our domain for a few years now, some customers may still have an eapps.com domain listed in their DNS records, in their Lotus Notes client configuration, or when they reference their site via the web. Please make sure that any eapps.com reference is discontinued by the deadline, otherwise your service will fail to work properly.

1. If you use a Lotus Notes client, please check your connection document to ensure that you are specifying our domain name instead of an old eapps.com domain. You may have one of the following domains listed. If so, update it to the domain on the right:

Old Domain –> New Domain
drh01.eapps.com –> drh01.4tdomino.com
drh02.eapps.com –> drh02.4tdomino.com
internet1.eapps.com –> internet1.4tdomino.com
internet4.eapps.com –> internet4.4tdomino.com
internet6.eapps.com –> internet6.4tdomino.com
internet7.eapps.com –> internet7.4tdomino.com
internet8.eapps.com –> internet8.4tdomino.com
internet10.eapps.com –> internet10.4tdomino.com
internet11.eapps.com –> internet11.4tdomino.com
internet12.eapps.com –> internet12.4tdomino.com

2. If we provide email services for your domain, please make sure your MX records no longer point to smtp.eapps.com and smtp2.eapps.com. If they do, please update them to smtp1.4tnetworks.com (priority 10) and smtp2.4tnetworks.com (priority 20). If this change is not made by June 24th, all incoming email for your domain will stop working.

3. Lastly, if you have any questions or are using an eapps.com domain in anyway that is not referenced above, please contact us immediately to discuss what changes you need to make prior to the June 24th deadline.

At approximately 9:30 AM ET today, our data center provider experienced a power outage at our facility. We’re still determining the full extent of the outage, but for approximately 20 minutes, some services were inaccessible. At this time, we believe service has been fully restored. If you still are having any trouble, please let us know and we’d be happy to look into it for you.

We’re currently looking into a problem where the 4t Networks website and Ticket system are down. We will continue to work on the issue until it is resolved.

Update: Services have now been restored, as far as we can tell, no data was lost.

Due to a hardware failure on internet1, we will be bringing the server offline tonight at 11 PM ET to fix the problem. The server will be down for approximately 3 hours. Once the server is back online, you should notice no difference. We apologize for the short notice, we want to take corrective action as soon as possible to ensure no further outages are caused.

internet1 Drive Failure

March 30th, 2009

The Lotus Domino server internet1 had a drive failure earlier today. The server is currently down while the drive is replaced and the array is checked out. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Update: The server was put back into server last night, while we schedule some downtime for the replacement of hardware. The total outage time was between 15-20 minutes.

Live from DevNexus

March 10th, 2009

Well we finally decided to leave our dark offices and venture out into the real world. We’re manning a booth at the DevNexus conference in Atlanta. As you probably also noticed, our new website is active. We’re still filling in the content as we go. We’re hoping to have that completed by the end of the week. Let us know what you think, we’re always appreciative of feedback.

4t Networks Booth at DevNexus

Shortly after 8 AM ET this morning, we were alerted to an outage at our Suwanee Data Center facility. Upon further investigation, we found that there had been a power disruption which affected the entire facility. Power was restored fairly quickly and our efforts moved to examining each server to ensure no damage was caused and that customer services are restored. All equipment service was restored at around 9:30 AM ET. We’re currently working with our data center operations team to find out how this happened and ensure it does not happen again. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

We will be performing network switch maintenance on Saturday, February 14th, from 10:00 PM ET until 2:00 AM ET. Due to the nature of this change and the potential impact it may cause, we are anticipating a total outage time of all services to be 30 minutes. This outage may occur at any time during the maintenance window. Lastly, we may need to reboot or move your server and thus we ask that you check your services to ensure that they are set to come back online after a reboot takes place. Once the work is complete, your services will be restored to their original state. If you have any question or concerns, please let us know.
