Note: This only affects customers who utilize the SmarterMail shared mail server, mail.4tnetworks.com.

We will be upgrading SmarterMail, to version 9, on Wednesday, February 22nd starting at 11:00 PM ET until 12:00 AM ET. The upgrade process will require the mail server to be rebooted at least once. Network Outage Notice for 12/11/11

On Sunday, December 11th, from 12:00 AM ET until 2:00 AM ET, 4t Networks data center engineers will perform maintenance to upgrade and replace our existing perimeter firewalls.

Due to the nature of this change and the potential impact it may cause, we are anticipating a total outage time of all services to be approximately 15 minutes, which may occur anytime throughout the maintenance window.

Server & Java Upgrade Notice for 02/26/11

We will be upgrading the underlying Operating System for your server on Saturday, February 26th starting at 10:00 PM ET until 4:00 AM ET. The upgrade process will require your server to be rebooted once. Your services will be unavailable at some point during this maintenance window, which should not last more than 10 minutes. Additionally, during this maintenance window we will also be updating all servers with Java/JDK installed because of a security flaw in some versions.

This flaw may be exploited over a network without the need for a username and password). Successful attack of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete Denial of Service) of the Java Runtime Environment. Java based application and web servers are especially at risk from this vulnerability.
